The mobile parts will hit the streets a little later in August, at speeds that range from 1.66GHz to 2.33GHz.
The desktop processors, which range in speed and price from 1.86GHz at $183 to 2.66GHz at $530, will be available at the beginning of August. At an event in Santa Clara today, Intel launched four Core 2 Duo E-series processors (aka Conroe) for the desktop, five Core 2 Duo T-series parts (aka Merom) for mobile applications, and a high-end Core 2 Extreme X6800 part.
